As professionals in our 30's and first time buyers, my wife and I entered the real estate market armed with what we considered a strong financial standing, ample knowledge of how to go about entering the market and a work ethic to strike out on our own in pursuit of our first home. In short, we spent the next 8 months visiting more than 100 open houses and making a failed bid on just one.
Virginia not only put a stop to our fruitless weekend house hunts by doing the leg work for us - providing detailed previews of properties meeting our guidelines - when we ultimately found "the one", (in a fraction of the time) that's when we realized the true value of her expertise.
